Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. Purpose & Network Health

To preserve clean IP reputation, reliable transit routing, and uninterrupted performance for all multi-tenant neighbors, all customer compute instances must adhere to standard internet safety practices.

2. Explicitly Prohibited Activities

• Outbound denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, IP spoofing, or automated port scanning.
• Unsolicited commercial bulk email (SPAM) distribution or running open mail relays.
• Distribution of malware, botnets, command-and-control servers, or ransomware payload hosting.
• Unauthorized penetration testing against third-party systems without prior written authorization.

3. Abuse Processing & Automated Isolation

Inbound and outbound network anomalies that threaten infrastructure availability will trigger automated upstream null-routing or temporary virtual network interface isolation. Customers receive immediate automated notifications with remediation windows.

4. Reporting Abuse

To report network abuse or violations originating from our network or IP addresses, submit full headers and logs to our 24/7 security response team at abuse@nodexvps.com.
